 LOCKING CLAMP

We focus on quality, innovation and customised solutions.

Flue pipe separation (Pull-out) protection from Skoberne

The locking clamp (pull-out protection) prevents single-walled, rigid flue gas pipes from pulling apart due to temperature fluctuation related expansion and contraction.

How does the Skoberne pull-out safety device work?

Pull-out protectors provide effective protection for the flue gas system against the effects of linear expansion. Linear expansion is an important factor for plastic flue pipes made of polypropylene: they expand during each heating cycle and contract again when they cool down. If elongation is not taken into account during installation, this can lead to malfunctions and, in extreme cases, to danger to life.

In all brochures and installation instructions, Skoberne emphasises the need to take sufficient account of expansion and contraction elongation and the consequences of failure to do so, as well as solutions for safe installation. Simple retaining clips often create fixed points and can thus encourage joint separation.

Skoberne's locking clamp (pull-out protection) meets the high safety and quality standards of our company and the applicable legal requirements. The use of our pull-out protection effectively prevents the exhaust pipe joint from being pulled apart due to longitudinal expansion and contraction movements. This means that the individual pipe elements remain securely and flexibly connected.

Fitting the pull-out safety catch: quick and easy - WITHOUT tools

Open the pull-out protection and place it around the upper part of the sleeve. The pull-out protection is secured with two clamp fasteners to ensure double protection. It is necessary for the locks to engage with a CLICK. Once this has happened, the next pipe element is inserted into the opening as far as it will go and the installation is complete.

Areas of application for the pull-out safety device

The pull-out protection provides additional safety when installing flue gas pipes, especially when installing multiple flues. The design of the pull-out-proof flue gas system can withstand a load of 45 kg (~450 N) for more than five minutes and is heat-resistant up to 120 degrees Celsius.
