Multiple-occupancy external wall (MFB)
The "MFB external wall" makes it possible to gradually switch to condensing boiler technology in apartment blocks with several conventional heating appliances. The challenge here is that conventional heating appliances cannot be operated together with condensing boilers on one flue gas line in a pressurised system.
Skoberne's solution uses tried and tested system components to create a new line on the external facade. This collects the flue gases from several condensing boilers on just one vertical flue gas pipe.
In this way, new condensing boilers can be gradually connected, while the old systems remain on the existing flue gas system. Once all the old systems have been replaced, the freed-up chimney remains could be re-utilised and modified as necessary, as an emergency chimney, for wood-burning stoves or even as a ventilation system.
Example: Plastic/stainless steel external wall system
A new “flue gas/combustion air” system now combines the tried and tested SKOBERNE plastic flue pipe with a stainless steel outer casing. With a top to bottom appearance of a continuous stainless steel compact design , it can also fulfil the special design requirements of architects and building owners. It goes without saying that the construction and all components also have the proven quality features with the bare stainless steel surface. And as you would expect from SKOBERNE, installation is particularly simple and time-saving, as the inner and outer plug-in connections are installed simultaneously
